Screw Feeder

The screw feeder is an auxiliary equipment specially used in the plastic processing industry. It is mainly used to convey granular and powdered plastic raw materials to the hopper of the equipment through screw conveying to achieve continuous feeding. The screw feeder is widely used in the feeding process of injection molding machines, extruders and other equipment, which can greatly improve production efficiency, save labor costs, and ensure the stability of the production process.

Working principle

The core of the screw feeder is a screw conveying device. Its working principle mainly includes the following steps:

  1. Screw conveying: The motor drives the screw conveying shaft to rotate through the coupling, and the raw materials are gradually pushed forward from the hopper through the rotation of the screw conveying shaft.
  2. Feeding pipe conveying: The raw materials are pushed by the spiral blades in the feeding pipe, and are continuously conveyed forward with the rotation of the blades, and finally reach the target hopper.
  3. Material level control: The feeder is usually equipped with an automatic material level sensor. When the raw materials in the hopper reach the set material level, the feeder will automatically stop conveying; when the material level drops to the set value, the feeder will automatically start to ensure continuous feeding.
  4. Dust prevention: The feed port and discharge port of the feeder are usually equipped with dust prevention devices to prevent dust from polluting the environment and improve the service life of the equipment.

Main features

Simple structure: The spiral feeder has a compact structure, easy installation and easy operation.

High conveying efficiency: The conveying speed can be adjusted according to different needs to adapt to different production rhythms.

Automatic control: Equipped with an automatic material level control system to reduce manual intervention and ensure production continuity.

Good sealing: The feeding process is closed to prevent dust leakage and meet environmental protection requirements.

Spiral feeders are widely used in plastics, chemicals, food and other industries to effectively improve production efficiency and processing quality.
